The doors of Rome

The ‘porte’ (doors) of Rome are numerous and mark the old entry points to the Eternal City. Such landmarks had to be impressive, as these ‘Porte’ would be the very first thing a visitor to Rome would see upon arrival – and the Romans never miss out on the opportunity to make an impression!
